The Inside-Outside Story

4-Part Mindful Art Workshop for adults with epilepsy, caregivers, or sibs.

Please join us for an artistic exploration of the following:

  • The impact epilepsy has upon one’s life
  • Art as a means to develop social engagement and collaboration with peers
  • Define how people with epilepsy would like to be seen in the world
  • Art a tool to create healthier, more equitable communities through making complex realities (lived experiences) more understandable
  • Build a creative narrative around epilepsy and its impact upon wellbeing

The workshops are designed for one to creatively express themself, to allow one’s feelings to flow through their hands. There is no right or wrong, there are no mistakes, only novel ideas!

Attendance at all 4 workshops is encouraged. All supplies are provided free of charge with a suggested donation of $20.

Please join us for the Part IV of The Inside-Outside, Saturday, June 4th at 10 am, PST. The final workshop will be led by Renée Russo: an adjunct professor at Neumann University in Pennsylvania. Renée is a multimedia artist, curator and art educator, who lives with epilepsy. Her workshop is called “Layering”.

Each session is built upon the prior, to allow for one’s personal narrative to unfold through the visual arts and writing. Sessions are led by experts in the field.
