If Not Us, Then Who?

The Transformative Power of Art in Epilepsy

HELP US COME TOGETHER TO FIGHT EPILEPSY STIGMA IN CINEMA!

Under the Lights is the award winning story of Sam, a boy with epilepsy so desperate to feel like a regular kid, he goes to prom knowing that the lights will make him have a seizure. A very personal reflection of his personal experience with epilepsy, Writer/Director Miles Levin seeks to represent a demographic historically ignored and misrepresented to the silver screen. An effort to fight the brutal stigma that affects so many by providing a rare, authentic and empathetic portrayal. Under the Lights has won prestigious awards at Oscar Qualifying film festivals, and we are excited to have him represent the film at Hidden Truths Project.

Stigma. Bias. Prejudice. Where does it stop? If not us, then who?
