Renée Russo

Loss & Found

Russo is an adjunct professor of Art and Communication. Her work employs various media, including mixed media, printmaking, installation, and performance. I strive to combine traditional techniques, such as observational drawing, with contemporary presentation, respecting both the endurance of formal skills and the need to impact viewers. Loss & Found is a first-person account by an individual living with epilepsy, the author lists the things one "shouldn't" say about the experience. The list illuminates the social and logistical pressures of the condition while serving as a conduit to self-awareness and inner peace
